Anthony Kellon - LBG #220

We are saddened by the news received this day that LBG Anthony Kellon, Badge #220, passed away after a battle with cancer.

Tony, 51, a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, and an attorney in the Cuyahoga County, Ohio Public Defender’s Office, was born July 11, 1960. His is survived by his wife Lynn D. Loritts and two children. Tony attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio where he was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He studied law at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He had a long time interest in the American Civil War and had been a reenactor Company G of the 5th United States Colored Troops (USCT) and Company A of the 10th United States Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers).

Tony received his guide license in April of 2006 and guided regularly until forced to take a leave of absence when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Tony requested that there be no funeral service.  A memorial service was held on the Gettysburg Battlefield on April 14, 2012.
